Cockaigne Ski Area is a family ski area located in western New York’s snow belt. Located 18 miles from Lake Erie with a base elevation 1100 feet higher than the lake, Cockaigne receives an average 275 inches of snowfall. Cockaigne combination of slopes (300 feet wide) and New England style trails (15 feet wide) combined with longest run of 3600 feet provide abundant snow time for the whole family.

For the 1st time since 1965 Cockaigne Ski Area will not be open for skiing this winter!

The search for a new owner who will operate Cockaigne next year is underway. A new owner only needs to put up a Lodge in order to operate next year. All of the Lifts, Grooming & Snowmaking Equipment is ready to go. Although there are over 1500 acres owned by Cockaigne, it can be operated on only 200 acres including all Lifts, Slopes & Trails. Thereby reducing the sale price for a new owner.
